A new year and new ideas for corporate gifts. The advertising and promotional gift sector begins 2010 at IFEMA with the Expo Reclam show, to be held on 26, 27 and 28 January.
All articles which can be personalised with a logo or sales message and all products which can be turned into corporate gifts have a place at Expo Reclam. The event is the major showcase for the promotional gift sector on the Iberian Peninsula and the second most important trade show for this speciality in Europe, surpassed only by the German show PSI Düsseldorf.
Edition number 22 of Expo Reclam, the International Advertising and Promotional Gift Show, moves its dates up. For the first time it will be held in January, on 26, 27 and 28 January, to be precise. This change had been requested by the majority of exhibitor companies and Reed Exhibitions Iberia, the company organising the event, was able to fulfil the demands of the sector.
Susana Gibert, director of the event, stated that, ‘We are very pleased to be able to offer the sector what it has been asking for.’ Also for the first time in its history, Expo Reclam will open its doors on a Tuesday. ‘Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be the days the event will be held, thus avoiding Friday, which, due to its proximity to the weekend, is normally slower,’ Gibert continued.
Good prospects
Excellent stand hire figures make it possible to say, even before the start of the show, that Expo Reclam 2010 will be a real event. To be precise, 248 exhibitor companies have hired stands. Of these, 14% come from abroad, confirming the increasingly more international nature of the show. These exhibitors come from nine different countries, with Portugal, France, Italy and Germany being of special note.
Expo Reclam is a trade show aimed only at professional visitors. The significant number of registration requests received by the organisers before the show has opened its doors is another of the figures which make it possible to look ahead to Expo Reclam 2010 with optimism. More than 8,000 professionals have requested their passes to visit the next edition of the event.
Major gathering for the sector
Expo Reclam brings together 90% of the promotional and advertising gift suppliers in Spain. Professional visitors will have the opportunity to see the latest new products which can be identified using brands, logos and slogans.
At the 2009 edition, Expo Reclam was very well received: 8,325 professional visitors and 3,598 dealers (compared to 3,581 in 2008) attended, representing a 0.47% increase.
More services for visitors
In order to make it easier for young companies to attend, Expo Reclam offers a specific space, the First Step Area, intended for companies making their debut at the show. The Green Point Area will be back for the second consecutive year in order to promote this range of products within the advertising and promotional gift sector. Last year, the space featured more than 100 articles related to the environment.
All visitors will also have an Internet area with a Web connection, as well as a courier service provided by the company MRW. Expo Reclam also publishes a catalogue in digital format, and provides a promo bag with catalogues and samples, food service in pavilion 12 of IFEMA, where the trade fair is held, as well as educational offerings presented by Fyvar (Spanish acronym for the Association of Advertising Item Manufacturers and Vendors), which organises a course for professionals on the second day of the show.
