The International Advertising and Promotional Gift Show will open its doors on 11th February at the Feria de Madrid fairground
11th-13th February, for the second consecutive year, Feria de Madrid’s Pavilion 9 will host the 21st edition of Expo Reclam, the most important trade show in Southern Europe for advertising via promotional items. This year, the show will host 282 main exhibitors and 35 represented companies, presenting the sector’s top new items from around the world in more than 11,000 m2 of exhibition space. There will be a total of 51 international exhibitors from 13 different countries, primarily European, although the presence of Mexican and Turkish companies is also noteworthy.
Feria de Madrid will bring together more than 3,600 visitor companies to discover first-hand not only the new products for the summer campaign, but also the products which will enable them to successfully tackle the upcoming Christmas campaign. To date, more than 9,500 professional dealers have registered, confirming their interest in visiting the largest promotional and advertising gift trade show in Spain. As usual, access is limited to the sector’s specialists and strict visitor controls will deny access to anyone who does not meet the requirements. Therefore, it is recommended that visitors attend using the pass sent out by the organisers. Otherwise, those who wish to visit the show will need to go to the desks at the north entrance with the corresponding documents – a copy of the IAE (Spanish acronym for the Economic Activities Tax) return – as proof of the company’s business activity, and pay the entry fee.
New services for visitors
Show attendees will have access to a number of services to make visiting the event easier. These include the promo bag, which contains the Official Catalogue and samples of exhibitors’ products; a trolley courtesy of Antalis for the first 500 visitors who stop by the promo bag distribution area each day; the visitor’s guide, containing a map with the location of all exhibitors; the First Step area, where all the companies exhibiting at Expo Reclam for the first time are located; and MRW’s messenger service, with excellent conditions for the show’s visitors.
In addition to those mentioned above, Expo Reclam 2009 is offering two new services for visitors. The first of these is the creation of what is known as the Green Point, a new space which offers the opportunity to learn first-hand about the latest and best in new promotional gifts which respect the environment. Interested exhibitors will be able to present their most sustainable products in this space at no charge. Green Point at Expo Reclam 2009 will offer articles such as BOC’N ROLL, a product for wrapping sandwiches which considerably reduces the use of disposable items, presented by the company Marcadiferencia. For its part, the German multimedia company GMBH will present new CD and DVD packaging made of 100% recycled paper. POPUP compressed sponges, made of regenerated cellulose and completely biodegradable, are another of the noteworthy articles in this area. Other highlights among articles which respect the environment are notebooks, pencils and pens made from recycled materials, a wide range of clothing items made out of organic fabric, as well as electronics which operate using solar panels.
The Internet Zone is another of the noteworthy new visitor services features at Expo Reclam 2009. It is a meeting space and work area with free Internet access.
As at previous editions, Expo Reclam 2009 enjoys the support of the major Spanish associations in the advertising and promotional gift sector: Fyvar (Spanish acronym for the Association of Advertising Item Manufacturers and Vendors) and Aimfap (Spanish acronym for the Association of Promotional Item Importers, Wholesalers and Manufacturers).
The Expo Reclam team is already working on the next edition, Expo Reclam 2010, which will be held 10-12 February of next year in Pavilion 9 at Feria de Madrid.
